Mountains

Mountains are usually formed from the tectonic plates grinding against each other to cause one to slip, move up or fall down. When tectonic plates move, they force the ground above them to move drastically in different to places to create these amazing features (mountains) If the ground is forced to move in a large area it creates a range of mountains. Mountains can also be formed through volcanic actions. If a volcano where to erupt over a large area, it would build up to form a mountain of over time. Mount Everest has lots of different physical features these include multiple layers of rock that overlap each other to make a rocky surface, snow or ice which covers the rocks and also lots of and cliff faces and caves.
